Last East Senatorial by-election: Crowd Welcomes Tokunbo Abiru to Kosofe

Ahead of the October 31st Lagos East Senatorial District by-election, the All Progressuve Congress (APC) candidate Mr. Tokunbo Abiru has began tour to all the 16 Local Government/ Local Council within the senatorial district.

According to the Mr. Tokunbo Abiru: "I had the honour to be received by the good people of Kosofe,  All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, members of the Local Organising Committee, our highly respected royal fathers, students and many well-wishers.

"Again, I must establish how much I appreciate the people of Kosofe, Agboyi-Ketu, Ikosi-Isheri, Ketu, Maryland, Ojota, Agilinti, Mile 12, Ajelogo, Akanimodo, Owode-Elede, Owode-Onirin, Ajegunle, Irawo amongst others for the support before and during the primary election. I must confess that with the turnout today, I am confident that by the grace of God, victory is guaranteed for us in the bye-election scheduled for October 31.

"Even though we are confident of victory, I must implore us not to leave any house unknocked in our attempt to get the votes come October 31. We must show unity of purpose and deliberately campaign to set a record that Lagos East Senatorial District does not only have the landmass but the political consciousness to vote for the progressives by voting Tokunbo Abiru for Senate and Femi Saheed for the Lagos State House of Assembly Constituency 2.

"As a progressive, I assure you of my loyalty to APC, our great party, and my constituents across this senatorial district. I will also uphold the manifesto and founding philosophy of our party as we approach the bye-election.

With this assurance, let us, therefore, approach this bye-election differently, telling what our party represents from community to community, house to house, town to town, from village to village or local council to local council.

Once again, I thank the good people of Kosofe Federal Constituency and by extension Lagos East Senatorial District. I promise not to disappoint you.
