#COVID19: Epe Local Government Gifts more Relief package to residents

EPE LOCAL GOVERNMENT PRESENTS FOOD RELIEF PACKS TO EPE RESIDENTS

The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon Adesanya today presented 4000 food relief packs to residents of Epe Local Government.

Hon Adesanya while speaking at the council premises said his administration decided to embark on the initiative to cushion the effect of the lockdown on residents due to the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic. He said they decided to disburse the food packs through trusted representatives of each ward and zones, leaders of market associations, artisans, transport workers, people living with disabilities, religious associations and other notable groups with a good data of their members with a mandate to ensure their poor and vulnerable members are targeted. He said this became imperative to ensure proper distribution and  the social distancing order is not flouted.

He called on corporate bodies and capable individuals to also step in to support the government's effort to ensure the virus is defeated and also help in minimizing the economic effect of the pandemic on the people.

The Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Epe branch, Pastor Taiwo who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries appreciated the gesture and urged residents to continue to comply with all directives of the governent to ensure the pandemic is defeated on time.
