Covid-19: Bariga Council Chairman Alabi Kolade Counsels Constituents


Advised constituents to wash hands regularly with soap and water / sanitizers

To avoid gathering of more than 20 people

As he appreciates Governor Sanwoolu for declaring 14 days stay at home for civil servants .

Following the cases of the dreaded coronavirus in Lagos State ,
the Chairman of Bariga Local Council, Hon Kolade Alabi has counselled the residents of Bariga not to dismiss the dangers that the deadly corona virus could pose to human health.

Alabi encouraged the good people of Bariga at large to heed the expert advise of regular washing of hands with soap, social distancing and the use of hand sanitizers.

In a similar vein, Alabi has urged his constituents to avoid large gatherings of people that are more than 20, pending when a vaccine will be developed for the corona virus which is fast assuming pandemic status across the world.

Also, the council chief has counselled his constituents to avoid travels that are not compulsory, particularly inter-state journeys; in order to avoid having body contacts with carriers of the most deadly disease.

 Alabi also  appealed to parents in Bariga to ensure that their children and wards whose schools have been shut on instruction of Lagos State government are kept indoor and not allowed to roam the streets.
He added that school children could become vulnerable to the dreaded Covid -19 in the course of roaming the streets where there is large gathering of people.

Meanwhile, in the unlikely event that any residents may be manifesting symptoms that are similar to that of Covid-19,  he urged such individual to quickly visit the nearest government hospital or call the numbers provided by the State government.

He appreciate the governor of Lagos State,  Mr Babajide Sanwoolu and the State Government for declaring  14 Days stay at home' for state civil servants from level 1-12 to curb the spread of CoronaVirus through social distancing, adding  that this advice of self isolation has become necessary so as to prevent the outbreak of Covid- 19 disease in Lagos State.
