COVID-19: MUSHIN COUNCIL CHAIRMAN BAMIGBOYE SHUTDOWN MARKETS

In furtherance to the fight against Corona Virus (COVID-19), Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, Executive Chairman Mushin Local Government, directed that all markets and stores in Mushin to shutdown for 7days except markets that are selling food items, water, medicines, pharmacy, medical equipments and other related essential life saving products.

This action is to support the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, at the grassroots as part of the precautionary measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

According to the Governor, all affected markets and stores will close for seven (7) days starting from Thursday 26 March 2020 except those mentioned above.

Ladipo market, Amu plank market, Leather market at Wey street, Itire plank market, etc. will shutdown for the period announced by the state government to curb the spread of the virus.

As we stay at home to save lives, it is important to practice proper personal hygiene like: regular washing of hands; use of hand sanitizers; avoid gathering of more than 20 people; social distancing; self isolate; cover mouth when coughing and sneezing; use medical face mask; and if not well, visit nearest hospital but call first.
