Badargy West Council Chairman 'Hon. Gbenu' Gift CDC/CDA #250,000 Annual Grant During Meeting (Details)

GBENU PRESENT 250,000 NAIRA ANNUAL GRANT TO CDC/CDA IN BADAGRY WEST DURING MONTHLY MEETING : PROFFER INSTANT SOLUTION TO SOME COMMUNITY CHALLENGES

The Executive Chairman of Badargy West LCDA, Hon Gbenu Henugbe Joseph was receives amidst enthusiasm during the recent meeting with Community Development Committee (CDC) and Community Development Association (CDA).

Speaking with the leadership and excos of the groups, Hon. Gbenu said his administration is committed to community development stating some of the projects, programs and assistants his government have rendered to some of the communities.

The Council boss, however advised the leadership of CDC/CDA to start registration of new communities for broader reach.

"New communities should be allowed to register" Gbenu said.

Speaking further, Hon Gbenu appreciates the consistent support he enjoyed from the CDC/CDA. He further commend the CDC/CDA for their passion.

"Community issues requires people with passion, determination and unrelenting efforts, which you have proven to have." Said Gbenu

Hon Gbenu Henugbe Joseph during the meeting presented the CDC Chairman, Alh. Kolade Ogungbe Albert the Annual grant of 250,000 thousand naira for the group, including their meeting allowance.

The CDC Chairman, Alh. Kolade Ogungbe while speaking, deeply appreciate and commend the performance of the council chairman noting that "Since the creation of Badargy West, CDC/CDA has never enjoyed this much attention and support like this present Gbenu administration"

The CDC/CDA Chairman, Alh. Kolade however use the opportunity to mention some of the challenges faced by the various communities, including; micro water system, grading of linking roads, provision of CDC bus for easy assessment of community projects, converting indigenous part time teachers to full time government staff, provision of electrical concrete polls at specific communities etc

Responding, The Council Chairman,  Hon. Gbenu verbally approved the provision of water system to some of the communities and immediately invited the council engineer to raise the voucher for instant approval.

Gbenu however emphasised on the need to construct the two major primary schools in the pipeline; Our Lady of Fatimo, Gayingbo and Methodist Primary School Kweme before further embarking on other  projects due to  limited funds available.

The HOD Agric and Social Services, Mr. Ademola Adesoji whose responsibility of the CDC falls under his purview thanked the Executive Chairman for his cooperation, patience and resilient spirit to every issues. He further commend the council boss for the approval of the yearly grant presented to the CDC/CDA and the meeting allowance.

One interesting part that marvel the council chairman was the many inscription on the wall which speaks well of his good work and the level of acceptability from the various communities he govern.

Present at the meeting was the Council Manager, Mr. Stephen Avoseh, The HRO Mr. Odufayo, some of the honourable Supervisors and Snr. S. A etc.
