APC Lagos East Holds Reconciliation Meeting, Leaders Seek For Forgiveness And Support For All Party Candidate(Details)

The APC  Lagos East senatorial district leaders from Kosofe and Somolu axis, that comprised of five councils of  Kosofe LGA , Somolu LGA , Bariga LCDA, Agboyi ketu LCDA , and Ikoshi Isheri LCDA ,  today,  gathered at CMD , Magodo area of Lagos, to pacify angry members and to plead with them to sheath their swords and work for the party's victory at the 2019 polls.

The meeting witnessed the presence of all the major stakeholders of the senatorial district,  GAC leaders, Chairmen, Vice chairmen, commissioners,
party candidates, aspirants, legislative leaders , SLG's ,  LGA chairmen, ward chairmen , Youth leaders, women leaders, political appointees and party members.

The meeting was anchored by the APC vice chairman Lagos East, Asipa Kaoli, he started by introducing the GAC members and all the party leaders at the event , and stated that the purpose of the meeting is for reconciliation, to pacify party members that are still bittered and angry over the two major events within the party, which was the ways in which hthe executives of the party were emerged in Lagos and the primary election that produced the party's candidates.

Speaking on behalf of the eight GAC members from the senatorial district were Chief Lanre Rasaq, Prince Sosanya, Chief Sakiru Seriki ( Bamu) , and Senator Anthony Adefuye .

Senator Adefuye appealed to  party members to forgive the party of any mistakes from their part, and pleaded that we should  move forward positively as a party by working and voting for the party's candidates in all the elections.

 Chief Lanre Rasaq also lend his  voice on the issue, by using himself as an example, he told the people at the meeting that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was the person that called him to drop his senatorial ambition for Hon Bayo Osinowo , and it happened to other people as it happened to him, so he advised that members should not be bittered about that, instead, they should work assiduously for the party.

One of the Lagos East senatorial aspirant, Otunba Dengel Anifowoshe speaks on behalf of other aspirants, even though he was not happy with the way things played out during the primaries, he said he is still loyal to the party , and will not leave the party for any reason , other aspirants also follows suit.

The highlight of the event was when the senatorial candidate of Lagos east , Hon Bayo Osinowo ( on behalf of the party candidates)  mounts the podium to talk about range of events that led to his emergence as the party's candidate , even though he never wished to contest before now, as advised by Asiwaju , but the will of God prevailed.

There was dead silence when Osinowo was speaking as the people in the hall listened to his address that was mixed with comics with attention, he advised that we need to give kudos to the party leadership in the senatorial district for their efforts in reconciling warring members , and advised those that lost out as a result of the primaries to see it as an act of God , even though the party will do all it can to correct all the anomalies in future election. He said he was also a victim of imposition at a time, but now he is a beneficiary, but he also pleaded with members to work for the victory of the party at all levels.

Hon Abdulateef AbdulHakeem the director of conflict resolution  also advised the members to see all that happened as the way God wanted  it to be , and cited so many examples to admonished the people .

Alh Bashir Adekoya speaks on behalf of the youth and outlined the program they have for the forthcoming election that will guarantee victory for the party.

Other leaders presented at the meetings were Prince Muyiwa Sosanya , Chief Olorunfunmi Bashorun,  Otunba Bushura Alebiosu,
Yeye Fausat Gbadebo, and Prince Biodun Ogunleye ( former deputy governor).

Bariga LCDA was fully represented at the meeting  ,as the chairman of the local council, Hon Kolade Alabi was represented by the vice chairman , Hon Mrs  Adeola Zainot Kuponiyi , other leaders from Bariga/ Somolu  present at the event were the chairman of Somolu local government, Hon Abduhameed Salau Dullar, the vice chairman, Hon Bowale  Sosimi , Hon Rotimi Abiru ( Somolu constituency 2 LAHA) , Hon Rotimi Olowo ( Somolu constituency 1), Hon Ademorin Kuye ( APC candidate for house of reps), Alhaja Mustafa,  Hon Bukola Adedeji ( SLG Bariga LCDA ), Hon Yomi Osunkoya ( leader Somolu legislators)  , Alh Bashir Adekoya ( Bariga state officer) Hon Biodun  Orekoya, Alhaja Raji, Alhaja Bello, Revd Timothy Oyasodun( Bariga LCDA APC chairman, Mr Femi Taiwo ( Somolu LGA party chairman )  ward chairmen led by Hon Owoalade, Hon Tadex  and others from the Somolu constituency.
