The National Leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), ably led by the President, Comr. Bello Shagari Bala, embarked on a walk on the streets of Uyo (Akwa Ibom State), to campaign against Electoral Violence And Drug Abuse. While the elections are still coming up next year, the NYCN leadership thought it right to be proactive, by staging the walk, in a bid to nip electoral violence and drug abuse in the bud and to contribute to the nation's development.

National Youth Walk 2018 symbolises the resolve of the youth body to reposition youth activism and promote youth's involvement in governance.

In the words of the Vice President, NYCN South-West zone, Comr. Saliu Adekunle, fondly called Africa’, "Nigerian youth are ready to take the nation forward by correcting some social ills, among which are Electoral Violence and Drug Abuse."

The youths, from across the thirty six states of the federation gathered in the state capital of Akwa Ibom (Uyo), joined by other notable youths in the state to stage the National Youth Walk against #ElectoralVolence and #DrugAbuse.

Without any iota of doubt the National Youth Council of Nigeria is beginning to change the narratives in our existence as a nation.

Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Long live National Youth Council of Nigeria.
