Voters Registration deadline: Shomolu/Bariga Resident Laments Slow Pace By INEC, See Their Agitations.


Loads of Nigerians at Somolu and Bariga Axis of Lagos State Nigeria storm INEC office in the early hour of today.

It was recorded that two weeks ago was the early scheduled date to end the voters card registration by INEC all over the states in the country, but due to the number of complain tabled to the Federal Government it was extended till today Friday, 31 August, 2018 and according to the statistic on our arrival to the venue today it was seen that number of Nigerians from Somolu/Bariga are yet to be registered. 

Mr. Ayo who related with olonitolacaleb.com at the INEC Registration Centre located at No, 35 Dabari bus stop Pedro road, decried the slow pace of work by officials of INEC and called on the Federal Government to extend the registration deadline to enable more people register.

He also said, the number of system active for registration are very distasteful compare to the loads of crowd outside.

Meanwhile, Miss Rebecca from Somolu who only comes to collect her PVC registered 2015 suffers denial due to large number of crowd scheduled to registered afresh.

However, Comrade Ottun Omolade one of the Aspirant for Lagos State House Of Assembly Somolu Constituency 1 in the upcoming election was spotted at the venue accompany by Comrade Ipaye Oluwatobi, Comrade Okesanjo Segun
and Comrade Babatunde Okusaga while relating with resident he pleaded with them to remain calm as the registration  goes slow and steady.

"One of the most appreciated set up by INEC was the Elderly once, Nursing mothers and the Pregnant mothers/Ladies were given access into the registration room with delay" ---Segun.

While others section of the registration were: lost of voter cards, deface of voters card, change of name, wrong birth date, change of location among others.

We hereby plead with all resident of Somolu/Bariga axis and beyond to remain calm as to hear from Federal Government on way forward as regard subject matter.
