Lagos Youth 1 Million Walk: LYI, Onaolapo, CYB, Lagos Student Ass.,Team 4/7, ASIWAJU REDRIVE Endorsed AMBODE FOR SECOND TERM

Youths in their hundreds on Saturday 31st March 2018 embarked on a symbolic march from Maryland to Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota to endorse Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode for another term in office.

The youths, drawn from various groups including Lagos Youth Initiative (LYI), Lagos State Students Union, Concerned Youth of Bariga (C.Y.B), Liberal Minds Grassroots Forum, Lagos of Our Dream (Project LOUD), Asiwaju Redrive Youth Initiative, A Plus Vanguard, National Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers Employers of Nigeria (NASWEDEN), among others, said the decision to support the Governor was as a result of his various infrastructural strides and massive empowerment initiatives such as the N25billion Employment Trust Fund.

Comrade Onaolapo Ajao Afeez aspiring for the post of Senate, which has started the declaration of his ambition from his Local council on march during the APC youth meeting, uses the medium at the one million walk to pledge his maximum support to the Governor of Lagos State Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for Second Term and also declare his attention to contest for the post of senate Lagos East Senatorial district come 2019 general election.

One of the youth contesting for the post of Ekiti State Governorship election was also in attendance to advocate his support to the governor of Lagos state for second term in office and the youth at large.

Speaking at the evnt, Lagos State Chairman of LYI, Comrade Temitope Ogungbo said the walk was organised to appreciate and mobilize support for Governor Ambode judging by the fact that the promises made to the people of the State have been fulfilled.
He said: “We are here today to show appreciation to the man that has done well. Three years back, he made a promise here at Ojota Freedom Park and those promises have been fulfilled and the Governor has even done more than what he promised.

“The promises are employment, empowerment, among others. When you talk about youths in Lagos State, Governor Ambode has employed many youths into the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority; he established Neighbourhood Safety Corps which has employed over 5,000 youths; he has also employed over 20,000 youths through the Cleaner Lagos Initiative; thousands of youths and businesses have also been empowered through the N25billion Employment Trust Fund of the Governor Ambode administration, among others he said.

Caleb, others were Comrade Olabisi from ward A, Comrade Fatimat Adebayo, Comrade Yemi, Comrade Omoh, Comrade Yusuf, Comrade Fatima Salisu, Comrade kazeem, Comrade Rahmon, Hon Comrade Ruth, Comrade Michael, Comrade Onaolapo Ajao, Comrade Aina, Comrade Akanni, Comrade Christana, Comrade Tawab, Comrade Florence, Comrade Toyin among others.
Member, Board of National Agricultural Extension Research, Hon Ganiat Alli-Balogun, said since assuming office, Governor Ambode had done wonders and a lot for people of the State.
Also, Lagos State Chairman of Liberal Minds, Mr Sanni Ganiyu said the State was blessed to have a caring, good and dynamic leader like Governor Ambode who, according to him, has positively touched all sectors and sections of the state.

Concerned Youth Of Bariga (C.Y.B) represented by her P.R.O  Comrade Onaolapo Ajao elucidated on the good work of the Governor in Lagos State Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode and the group is delighted to endorsed him for the second term, which the endorsement is for the betterment of the our own Lagos State

TERM 4/7 also represented by Comrade Aina to endorsed Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for Second Term.

Lagos State Student Association led by Comrade Otun Omolade, in attendance were Comrade Ozon former Sug president FCET AKOKA, Comrade Bakindo Former Nans Chairman Zone D Lagos axis, Comrade Adura, Comrade Daniel, Comrade Seun, Comrade Segun, Comrade Ope among others present.
